Teen Social Night

Teen Social Night is a Monthly Group Program for teens ages 12-16, who could benefit from social interactions with peers in a fun and safe environment with games and open-ended discussion on a different topic related to social skills and development every month. This group is run by members of our counselling team.

This group is an open program, meaning you can choose to come or not each month. We send an email out at the beginning of the month with details about the upcoming group. If you are interested, you reply signing your teen up.

Runs on the last Wednesday of every month (except we take a break in July) from 4:30pm-6:00pm in the clinic. Cost is $65 per session. Snacks are provided.

Fee may be claimed under private health benefits under Psychological Services or under the OAP.

Call us at 905-683-1055 or email us at support@integrate-health.ca if you have any further questions or would like to add your teen to the list.

PEERS for Adolescents (Ages 12-17)

PEERS is an evidenced-based program created by UCLA to support both neurodivergent and neurotypical individuals, who would like support in the following areas: the confidence to form friendships, improving conversation skills, learning conflict resolution skills and how to use humour appropriately & more! The PEERS curriculum will incorporate and teach caregivers how to be social coaches to their youth, and will require commitment from at least one caregiver in the youths life.

Our PEERS Program will be run by members of the clinical & ABA Team, in the clinic, during a 9 week period: Part One: Fundamental PEERS Skills Bootcamp, with coinciding 1-hour Caregiver sessions.

Next PEERS for Adolescents group will be running in the Fall.

The group can be covered under Access OAP funding or extended health benefits.

Call us at 905-683-1055 or email us at support@integrate-health.ca if you have any further questions or would like to add your teen to the list.

TRIPLE P- Positive Parenting Program

What is Triple P?

Group Triple P is an 8-session program, which assists parents/guardians to develop positive discipline strategies to improve their relationship with their child. This program has been developed to ensure that group sessions are interactive and that parents/guardians are given opportunities to practice newly learned skills in between sessions.

What Can I Expect?

Parents/guardians will learn to set clear and consistent expectations, increase their child’s compliance and learn strategies to manage common misbehaviours.

Key Goals of Group Triple P:

  • Promote a good parent/child relationship
  • Encourage positive behavior (behaviours you’d like to see more often)
  • Teach children new skills and behaviours
  • Set rules and give instructions that your children will follow
  • Respond to misbehaviour immediately, consistently and decisively
  • Use positive discipline strategies that work
  • Take care of yourself as a parent/guardian

Telephone Support Sessions

Telephone consultations are provided during weeks 5, 6 and 7. These sessions are designed to assist parent(s)/guardian(s) with the implementation of positive parenting skills at home. Parent(s)/guardian(s) will be encouraged to implement and monitor these skills and set additional target behaviours. Telephone sessions help to tailor the program to meet the needs of individual families and to promote generalization of skills across a diverse range of settings. Telephone sessions provide parent(s)/guardian(s) with opportunities to ask questions, address successes and challenges and problem-solve difficulties. Each telephone consult session is 20 min in length.
*This program is covered as Psychological Services, check with your extended health care benefit provider.
