Integrate Health Services offers different parent/guardian support programs designed to cater to the specific needs of caregivers and families. Our Parent Support Programs are accessible in-group programs or in one-on-one settings and aim to provide parents/guardians with support and skill development.
Parent Education Nights are run monthly at Integrate Health Services and focus on specific topics of interest, with a new theme each month! Parent Education Nights are aimed to provide parents/caregivers with the opportunity to learn, to share, and to discuss information and strategies to enhance their parenting experiences. Each program is 90 minutes and will include presentation and opportunity for questions and discussion. Presentations will be facilitated by our highly skilled team of multi-disciplinary professionals including: Psychologists, Social Workers, Teachers, Child and Youth Workers, Psychotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Speech and Language Pathologists. Parents/caregivers are encouraged to be actively involved in discussion as they can offer a wealth of knowledge and expertise and can learn from one another
Group Triple P is an 8-session program, which employs an active skills training process to help parents/guardians acquire new knowledge and skills. This program provides practical help to assist in managing some common parenting concerns. Parents/guardians will develop positive parenting skills to manage misbehaviours immediately, use appropriate and effective discipline strategies and plan ahead to prevent challenging situations. As one of the few evidence-based parenting programs available world-wide and over 30 years of proven clinical research to support its effectiveness, parents/guardians can be sure Triple P works for the majority of families. Triple P has the seal of approval of parents, practitioners and experts world-wide. Triple P is for every parent/guardian, whether they have a specific problem or are just looking for advice on common everyday issues.
